🪗 Meet Pavel Manaf — Accordion Instructor
Hello! My name is Pavel Manaf. I’ve been involved in music for over 18 years, and have been teaching for the last 6 years.
I play what I believe is one of the most beautiful instruments — the accordion 🪗.
The accordion is a truly unique and expressive instrument. Often called the “little organ,” it can produce sounds reminiscent of the organ, bassoon, flute, clarinet, and more. One of its greatest strengths is its self-sufficiency — it’s an orchestra in itself. It doesn’t need piano or instrumental accompaniment, as it can perform full orchestral scores and remain highly portable.
🎼 My musical journey wasn’t always easy. I started learning music at age 7, blessed with strict Soviet-style teachers😄 and the firm discipline of my parents. Though I wasn’t eager at first, the encouragement of my mentors and family eventually sparked a deep love for the instrument.
At ages 15 and 17, I became a two-time national champion of Moldova in accordion performance. I consistently performed with professional ensembles, and after completing my musical studies, I began teaching.
Today, I continue to teach students of all ages — from 7-year-olds to adult learners in their 40s and beyond (and they’re doing great! 😉).
Last year, one of my students was accepted into a state conservatory on a full scholarship — a moment of joy and encouragement that confirmed my work is not in vain.
