🎹 Anna Ponomareva
Piano Instructor
Anna Ponomareva was born in Mariupol, Ukraine, and raised in a devoted Christian family. Her father served as a minister, and her mother was actively involved in ministry alongside him. Although her parents were denied the opportunity to study music due to restrictions on Christian families under Soviet rule, they made it their mission to give Anna and her siblings a strong musical education.
Anna studied flute and violin in music school and completed three years of piano studies — yet piano remained her true passion. Driven by determination, she pursued her dream of becoming a professional pianist. In 2015, she entered the Mariupol College of Music, and in 2020 she was accepted into the Odessa Conservatory.
Before the war in Ukraine, Anna worked as a teacher and accompanist at both a music school and a college. She is a true virtuoso, capable of performing music of any complexity with brilliance and expression. Her teaching style is engaging and highly personalized — she knows how to connect with each student and spark their love for music.
Anna has played extensively in churches and concerts, giving her a deep understanding of both performance and worship ministry. She also teaches in various church courses, sharing her passion and skill to train the next generation of musicians for God’s glory.
